EXPERIENCE
Leonard A. Des Jardins is the senior partner of the firm, and serves on the
practice committee. He has four decades in general practice specializing in
commercial law and litigation. He has negotiated and managed hundreds of
mergers, dissolutions, refinancing, buy-outs and divestitures of small and
medium sized business entities. He has participated in over 150 trials on
commercial issues, including significant Chancery matters involving TRO’s
and other injunctive relief. Leo Des Jardins has authored numerous appeals
both appellant and appellee with a high success ratio. For the last six years,
he has specialized in environmental and eminent domain proceedings and
has been a lead attorney as outside counsel for the Illinois State Toll Highway
Authority in seeking approval on major new construction. Mr. Des Jardins has
almost forty years advising the management of small and medium sized legal
partnerships and corporate entities on complex daily issues involving leasing,
contracting, employee relations, governmental agency interaction, tax, real
estate and internal corporate and partnership affairs.
